The Next Generation Carriers podcast is reaching out to all Postal Workers to help organize informational picket lines at their post office before work, Friday, May 22nd 2026.
Demand: $30 for 30.
$30/hour starting wage.
30 City Carriers for 1 manager.
Currently it’s 7 City Carriers for 1 manager, in the 1990s it used to be 21 City Carriers for 1 manager.
Send us your details if you’re interested in learning more and we will reach out to you.
Step 1: Educate
Inside the ‘United States Postal Service Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Report to Congress’ The report states:
Supervisors/managers: 27,770(FY 2025)
City delivery carriers 178,026(FY 2025)
Breakdown: 1 Manager for every 7 City Carriers
That’s not including 13,726 Postmasters(FY 2025)
That’s not including 14,081 in Headquarters(FY 2025)
Inside the ‘Office of Inspector General: Grievance Management Audit Report 2026’ the report states:
The U.S. Postal Service paid out more than $866 Million in resolution of almost 3.5 million grievance payments from fiscal years (FY) 2022-2024.
Inside the ‘Office of Inspector General: Pre-Career Retention Initiatives Audit Report 2026’ the report states:
Nationwide Pre-Career Retention Rates During First Year of Employment:
40.8%(FY24) for CCAs.
40.2%(FY24) for RCAs
47.5%(FY24) for PSEs
46.2%(FY24) for MHAs
“Postal workers to see double-digit health care premium increases again”
Inside the ‘NALC / USPS - Letter Carrier Pay Chart’ it states:
Table 1, Step A: $34.36(PTF)
Table 1, Step A: $32.91(Regular)
Table 2, Step B: $26.36(PTF)
Table 2, Step B: $25.25(Regular)
City Carriers should be fighting to restore the Table 1 Pay Chart. That starts by fighting for a $30/hour starting pay.

Working to improve on-time delivery for constituents who rely on USPS every day.

Preserving and protecting the Universal Service Obligation, which ensures the Postal Service continues to deliver mail for all Americans, regardless of location or zip code.

Step 2: Agitate
$30 for 30 goes beyond just a City Carrier demand. This is a demand that will connect with all postal workers.
Clerks, Mail Handlers, Rural and City Carriers are all overworked, underpaid, and walk in everyday to a toxic workplace that appears to be cemented into the fabric of the organization.
Doesn’t matter if you’re 30 days in or 30 years in. Let’s unite and make sure the USPS is around for another 250 years.
Labor bureaucracy is afraid of going after management so it’s up to the rank and file members, the workers, to organize for a better tomorrow.
Step 3: Organize
Friday, May 22nd 2026 the NALC / USPS contract expires. We’re reaching out to the City Carriers from all 50 states and territories to unite:
Organize informational picket-lines, BEFORE clocking in, outside your post office with signs “$30 for 30” / “Save USPS from Mis-Management” / “America Deserves 1st Class Service!”
Hand our informational flyers to customers, people walking by, and coworkers.
Contact your Congressperson and urge them to seriously address the bloated management structure inside USPS; help save the Post Office and to be able to provide increase wages.

USPS is a good place to work, but at some point, the toxic workplace catches up and you either try to blend in or you start to have dredge every morning walking in the doors.
Reducing the bloated management can only come if all postal workers unite and reach out to our politicians who can put pressure on the USPS Board of Governors to change their organization.
Send us your details if you’re interested in learning more and we will reach out to you.

Can you get your Branch(Local) to endorse May 22nd and help organize an informational picket line outside your post office? We can send you a basic motion outline you can read at your union meeting.
If your Branch does not endorse a day of action, talk to your coworkers and ask them what they think. It’s scary at first but once you understand that your coworkers want a fair pay and they also realize management is bloated, it’s a bit easier to talk about May 22nd.
Got a group of coworkers on board for May 22nd? We can send you a basic Press Release to send out to the media.
Need a flyer to hand out to customers walking by? Let us know.
May 22nd was a success? Take a photo, print it, and mail it to your congressperson along with a letter about saving USPS. We can send you a basic letter to send out to politicians.
